Først vil jeg si noen ord.
Jeg håper dere liker denne historien. Har drevet med den i noen dager og håper at plotet, subplotet og flashbackene stemmer bra og jeg håper dere leser den. Om noen uker vil denne mest sannsynligvis bli latterliggjort i og med at det sikekrt er masse feil her. (Noe som skjedde med mitt forrige Fanfictionbidrag der jeg skrev at Black Rock var en stein, Alex var en mann og masse sånt.

Episode 9 ½
(Denne episoden er på en måte imellom 9 og 10. )
(Charlie-centric)

Previously on Lost:
Klippet av der Charlie kaster dopet i flammene i The Moth.
Sayid: “The plane was loaded with heroin” og han kaster heroinfiguren foran Charlie og knuser det.
Klippet fra Exodus 3 der vi ser at Charlie har tatt heroinet.
Marvin Candle fra det nye Orientation-klippet: The isolation that attends the duties associated with Station 3 may tempt you to try and utilize the computer for communication with the outside world. This is strictly forbidden. Attempting to use the computer in this manner will compromise the integrity of the project and worse, could lead to another incident.
Michael: This is Michael. Who is this.

Denne episoden starter med at vi ser ansiktet på porselensfiguren av Jomfru Maria og Charlie sitter der og ser på den. Han putter den i sekken og går inn i jungelen og forsikrer seg om at ingen ser ham.
Han var sikker på at ingen så ham, så han fortsatte og gå, men plutselig luktet han en spesiell stank.
Han så at det var isbjørnen som ble skutt dagen etter at de kom hit. Den har blitt spist av villsvin og hadde råtnet helt. Men litt av skinnet var igjen. Han holdt skjorta over nesa og gikk videre, men så litt på den. Han la merke til noe. Det var Dharma-merket. ”The Arrow”-merket.
Charlie: ”Dharma?”
Liam: ”So you think we should start a band, right?”
Charlie: “Yeah, It would be cool. You know, I can play guitar, and we could have Joey on drums right.”
Liam: “Do you think it would work?”
Charlie: “Of course it would work!”
Liam: “Maybe we could have a symbol, like people see the symbol, they think: “Ah, It’s them. They’re so great”. You know what I mean,”
Charlie: “Yeah, that could work. What symbol are you talking about?”
Liam: “This symbol. It’s pretty cool. It’s called Ba-gua or something like that.”
[Liam peker på et bilde I en bok der de viser Ba-gua som er temmelig likt Dharma.symbolet.
Charlie står på knærne, med skjorta foran munnen og undersøker Dharma-symbolet. Plutselig hører han noen som kommer. Han står opp og ser hvem det er. Det er Bernard som kommer.
Bernard: ”Hello”
Charlie: ”Hi”
Bernard: “So the smell is coming from that thing,”
[Bernard peker på isbjørnen.]
Charlie: ”Yeah, that’s the polar bear we found, eh I mean shot on the second day on this Island.”
Bernard: “Polar bear? No, that can’t be right. How could a polar bear live in this jungle”
Charlie: “Bingo, but I found this strange symbol on his leg. It says Dharma on it”
Bernard: “What? The Dharma-symbol.”
[Bernard går bort til Charlie og ser på symbolet på isbjørnen”]
Bernard: ”Well that’s a strange thing, because we found this exact symbol in the bunker we found on the other side of the island.
Charlie: “A bunker? You mean, like a hatch, because there is a hatch that Locke…”
Bernard: “No, not a hatch. But it was a room. We found the radio there. It was dirty and not a place where you wanted to be, but we stayed there for a while. Then we found Michael, Jin and Sawyer.”
Charlie: “Ah, and you guys came here.”
Bernard: “That’s right”
Charlie: “Can I ask you a little question?”
Bernard: “Sure,”
Charlie: “Have you ever heard of Driveshaft?”
Bernard: “No”
Charlie: “You know: “You all everybody, you all everybody””
[Bernard reiser seg opp. Det virker som om han ikke er så interessert i det bandet]
Charlie: ”Haven’t heard of them. It’s a band.
Bernard: “Nope. But I should go now. I was going to find some fruits for my wife and get away from that smell.”
Charlie: “Well I was going too”
Bernard: “What your name?”
Charlie: ”Charlie”
Bernard: “Ok, Charlie. Bye”
[Bernard går og Charlie blir alene.]
Charlie: “A Ba-gua symbol. What the bloody hell is that?”
Liam: “I don’t know. A religious thing from the Taoism or something like that. I just found this picture in a book”
Charlie: “A religious symbol. No, we can’t use that. When we get famous, what do you people will say about us. We could be banned from a church.
Liam: “Banned from a church?”
Charlie: “I don’t know. But I will not use some religious thing in the band.”
Liam: “So you’re the king of this band and we have to listen to you.”
Charlie: “We haven’t started it yet. I just thought it could be cool to start a band. Like you could sing, because you like to do that and me on guitar. And we’ll ask Joey if he want to play drums.”
Liam: “Who will play bass?”
Charlie. “We’ll figure that out.”
[Inne i luken. Michael har nettopp sett at det står ”Dad?” på skjermen. ]
Michael: ”Locke! Eko! Look at this! It’s Walt!”
Michael skriver inn:
>: Walt? Is that you?
Locke og Eko kommer og ser.
Mr. Eko: ”Wait a minute. It doesn’t have to mean that it’s Walt. It could be they who are making this up.
Locke: ”That’s right. And in the new Orientation-clip, Dr. Marvin says that this thing can lead to another incident.”
[En ny melding kommer opp]
>: It’s me. I escaped from them.
Michael er nesten på gråten.
Michael: ”You see. It’s him.
Mr. Eko: It could be a trap. A trap from them.
Locke: “He’s right. They took your boy, and they are maybe fooling with you. Maybe they want to know where we are and take us.
[Michael skriver inn en ny setning]
>: Where are you?
De ventet litt og tittet på klokken som nå visste 42.
Locke: ”Well I’m going now, so Michael you can take the next shift”
De svarte ikke, og Locke gikk ut.
Charlie gikk litt lenger inn i jungelen og da han var sikker på at ingen var der, tok han frem porselensfiguren og så på den. Plutselig så var kom Locke og sa:
Locke: ”Charlie?”
Charlie ble så skremt at han mistet porselensfiguren på bakken og den knuste.
Charlie tok sekken ned i håp om å skjule det, men det var for sent. Locke så det.
Locke: Do you remember when you gave the island the heroin and the Island gave something back.
Charlie: "yes, I remember, but I can explain,”
Locke: “What if the thing the Island gave back, can be taken again. Do you wanna loose your guitar?”
Charlie: “No, but the plane was loaded with lots of heroin, and I couldn’t leave it alone. So I had to…”
Locke: “Wait!”
[Locke går mot Charlie og ser at porselensfiguren landet på noe. Det landet på noe stål.]
Charlie: ”What? Do you wanna see the drugs?”
Locke: “It landed on something. This maybe an another hatch.
[Locke børstet bort heroinet og noe av gresset der og de begynte å grave.]
[Klokken i bunkeren viste 23 og de ventet fremdeles på et svar]
Mr. Eko: ”What if he’s gone?”
Michael: “Why should he leave me?”
Mr. Eko: “Maybe they found him? Or maybe they are fooling with you, and know where we are right now”
Michael: “No! How can you know that. They wanted Walt. Not us!”
Mr. Eko: “We know a little more about them than you, because they’ve attacked us, abducted us and murdered us. They’re smart.”
[De så på klokken igjen og så at tallet 20 gikkt il 19, mens de fortsatt ventet på svar]
Charlie: ”So this is a hatch. Again.”
Locke: “It’s not the same. This one isn’t cement. It’s aluminium and we have a handle here to. This one shouldn’t be that hard to open.”
Charlie: “I’m going for the axe,”
Locke: “Yeah, do that,”
[Charlie puttet heroinet tilbake i sekken og gikk veien tilbake ]
[Charlie, Liam, Joey og den nye gitaristen Craig har et bandmøte]
Charlie: ”Wow, It’s great to say that our first song is done.”
Liam: “Yeah, and the concert tomorrow will be great to.”
Joey: “And good that we have Craig on guitar. He’s really good.”
Craig: “Thanks, but we will only play “Worst Day” right.”
Charlie: “That’s right, but should our name be “Driveshaft”?”
Liam: “It’s a great name. What, don’t you like it?”
Charlie: “No, no, no. It’s fine.”
[Sawyer og Kate er på vei mot stranda]
Sawyer: ”Ok, so you’re sayon that Locke and Boone found a hatch, they hold it like a secret, and you went to a slave ship to get some dynamite to blow it up, right?”
Kate: “That’s right. And down in the hatch lived Desmond, but he ran off in the jungle.”
Sawyer: “But what happened to The Nutty Professor?”
Kate: “Who?”
Sawyer: “Arzt!”
Kate: “Oh, he wasn’t too good with the dynamite.”
[Sawyer og Kate har kommet frem til stranden og ser mennesker de kjenner. De får høre en del ”Hi Sawyer” fra noen og sånt.]
Charlie: ”Hey Sawyer!”
Charlie kommer løpende mot ham.
Charlie: ”Where is the axe you used on the raft?”
Sawyer: “Over there!”
[Sawyer peker mot et noe ved som ligger ved stranda som de brukte for å kjøre flåten ned mot havet. Der lo brannøksa]
Charlie: ”Okay, thanks. And by the way it’s good to see you.”
[Tilbake til luken der Michael og Eko fortsatt venter på svar fra den andre siden.]
Mr. Eko: ”I think it’s over,”
Michael: “No, It can’t be over now!”
[De ser på klokken som viser at tallet 16 har gått ned til 15]
Michael: ”Why is it taking so long?!”
Mr. Eko: “I don’t know, nut maybe…”
Plutselig kommer det en beskjed:
>: Temparonic
Michael: ”What!”
Mr. Eko: “Maybe it’s a code”
Michael: “No, I don’t understand it.”
[Plutselig blir skjermen svart og så kommer det normale tegnet ]
Michael: ”No, no, no, no, no!” og Michael slår på komputeren for å få samtalen tilbake.
[Locke kommer inn]
Locke: ”Something new on the computer?”
Michael: “Yeah, the message “Temparonic” came an after that it went to the same thing”
Locke: “Temparonic?”
Michael: “Yeah, I don’t know what the hell that means, but that was the last thing he said,”
Mr. Eko: “It does not have to mean that it’s Walt that writes that”
Locke: “I was just going to get one of the guns, but I will come back here and take the shift after you Michael.”
Michael: “Okay,”
Mr. Eko: “What do you need a gun for?”
Locke: “Oh, Me and Charlie found a hatch not so long from here. It has a handle, but it’s hard to open it, so to be secured I’ll rather have a gun with me. Maybe you wanna help Mr. Eko.”
Mr. Eko: “You can call me Tobechukwu. That’s my first name.”
Locke: “Ok, well Tobechukwu. We’re going now”
Charlie er ved den nye luken, men finner ikke Locke. Han følger etter hans fotspor og ender opp ved en dør. Der står Locke og Eko.
Charlie: ”What is that bloody door?”
Locke: “That’s the other entrance to the hatch.”
Charlie: “Oh, can I come inside. I’ve heard that there is some albums there. Maybe Driveshaft is…”
Locke: “No, Charlie! You can’t come inside. And there’s no albums of Driveshaft there. Those albums there are from the 60’s, 70’s and the 80’s. No Driveshaft!”
Charlie: “Why are you telling me that in that mood!”
Locke: “Let’s go!”
Charlie: “Hey! Have I said something wrong!”
De går i fra ham og han star der ved inngangen. Han går etter dem.
Liam og resten av bandet har kommet hjem til gitaristen Craig for å se på videoen av dems første opptreden.
Charlie: ”That was great. And did you see all the girls. We know now that we maybe has some groupies.”
Liam: “Yeah, a hell of a concert!”
Joey: ”Yeah, That’s right. And a pretty cool drumset!”
Craig: “Yeah, That’s right.”
Charlie: “But something was awkward, but I don’t remember it. Something was not as we plays it.”
Liam: “Neeh, That’s all in your head”
Joey: “Yeah, I think something wasn’t right, but what the heck. It was fabulous anyway”
Liam: “Well, lets see the concert again then”
De ser på filmen. Alt går bra, men Charlie merker hva som var galt.
Charlie: ”Hey! That’s not the solo that you usually played. You’re playing something else.”
Joey: “Yes, that’s right, but that one is better!”
Charlie: “That’s not the point. You said you would play that solo that we usually play. That’s the one who fits in. On this concert you’re only playing some bloody “impromptu”, some bloody mess that doesn’t fit in.
Liam: “Hey! I am the one who plays solo guitar Baby brother!”
Craig: “It wasn’t such a big deal. “
Charlie: “Don’t talk to me that way! ”
Charlie fortsetter å gå. Han er lit sur på Locke over måten han pratet til ham.
The Beach.
[Sawyer har kommet tilbake til hans lille telt på stranden. Han legger seg ned for å slappe av, da han ser Sayid komme forbi]
Sayid: ”So you’re back now”
Sawyer: “Yep, That’s right. I’ve been through a lot since the raft exploded,”
Sayid: “They carried you on a litter. I saw it.
Sawyer: “Hey, What now? Were you there?”
Sayid: “You don’t know about don’t you?”
Sawyer: “I know about the slave ship, Arzt’s explosion and stuff like that. Freckless is the kind of lady who don’t tell a lot.”
Sayid: “Shannon saw someone in the jungle. She ran into the jungle to find him.”
Sawyer: “Find who? The Candy Man”
Sayid: “No! She saw Walt in the jungle. I thought she was hallucinating, but I was wrong. I saw him with her the same night we found you.”
Sawyer er interessert i det Sayid sier.
Sawyer: ”How could she see Walt. He’s with the others right now.”
Sayid: “I don’t know about that.”
Sawyer reiser seg opp.
Sayid: ”Where are you going?”
Sawyer: “I have to speak with Shannon!”
Sayid: “Stop!”
Sawyer stopper og snur seg.
Sayid: ”She’s dead.”
Sawyer: “What?”
Sayid: “Ana-Lucia did a mistake and shot her.”
[Locke, Eko og Charlie har kommet til luken. De graver bort alt jord ved siden av.
Locke prøver dra opp håndtaket, men det er veldig hardt. Han får det ikke opp.
Locke: ”Maybe we should use the axe now”
Charlie tar opp øksa og slår på luka.
Locke: “No, no no! You have to hit here”
Locke peker på sprekken mellom luken og resten av aluminiumet.
Charlie: ”Ok, ok!”
Charlie slår og slår, men den kommer ikke opp.
Locke tar øksa fra ham og bruker den selv. Nå blir luken enda mer ødelagt og de får åpnet den snart.
Mr. Eko: “Ok, I think we can just kick it now”
Locke: “Yeah”
Locke tar i et hardt spark og luken knekker og faller ned i mørket.
De ser en skitten trapp som går nedover.
Locke tar frem pistolen og begynner å gå.
Locke: ”We go now. Me first, Tobechukwu and Charlie you can stay here in case someone comes”
Charlie: “What! I can’t come with you!”
Locke: “It’s better if we are going. You stay here!”
Locke og Eko går ned trappen og kommer til rommet. Det er mørkt, men Eko tok med lommelykt så de kan se.
Når de er der nede så kommer de til et lite rom. Det er en ståldør der som er låst, men rundt i rommet er det noen ting. Det ligger et brunt og skittent skrivebord der, men det som er det mest skrekkelige er det døde liket so sitter der. Han har på seg presteklær.
Locke: ”I think he’s from the beechcraft.
Eko ser på ham og forstår ikke hva han mener.
Locke: ”For a week ago we found a beechcraft in the jungle. It was a guy named Boone with me. I had trouble with my legs, so Boone had to climb up there. There was a radio there, and I think he made contact.
Eko: “It was him we heard on our radio. We heard him say: “We’re the survivors of Flight 815”. But what does this beechcraft have to do with this priest.”
Locke: “Because the people from that plane was smugglers. They smuggled heroin. There where dressed as priests and came from Nigeria.
Eko har et spesielt blikk nå.
De ser på skrivebordet og ser på papirene. Locke tar med papirene i sekken. Det ligger en bok der også som han tar med.
Locke: ”I think we should go back now. It’s nothing more here”
De begynner å gå opp trappen og ser at Charlie ikke er der lenger.
Locke: ”Charlie!”
Locke ser på bakken og ser sporene. De begynner å følge etter dem.
[Tilbake til Michael]
Han skriver inn koden og tallene går tilbake til 108, imens så sjekker han kablene igjen og finner ut at på den røde kabelen så står det mystiske ordet Temparonic.
[Tilbake til Locke og Eko]
De følger fortsatt sporene.
Locke: ”Oh no. I think I know where he might be going”
Eko: “Where?”
Locke: “To the beechcraft”
Eko: “Why do he want to go there?”
Locke: ”Because he was a drug addict. On heroin. He stopped, but I think he will start again,
Vi ser fjeset til Charlie som stirrer på flyet.
Charlie er på en restaurant og spiser nudler og plutselig kommer Liam forbi.
Liam: ”Charlie!”
Charlie ser opp og ser Liam.
Charlie: ”So good to see you Liam”
Liam: “What are you doing here?”
Charlie: “I’m just taking lunch. How about you?”
Liam: “Well, we’re going to have a concert here tomorros,”
Charlie: “Oh, so great! How is it going there? In the band,”
Liam: “It’s not so good. After you quitted it it’s been some problems.”
Charlie: “Oh. That’s bad. So you’re the bassplayer now?”
Liam: “Yes, but it’s not the same.”
Charlie: “Ok, what do you mean?”
Liam: “I want to ask you ‘bout something.”
Charlie: “Yeah, sure. What is it?”
Liam: “Would you join the band again?”
Charlie ser ned i nudlene og vet ikke hva han skal svare.
Liam: ”Come on! Please! It’s not the same without you. You started it all.”
Charlie: “I don’t know. It’s just problems”
Liam: “No, no, no. It’s not a problem.”
Charlie: “But you’re fine without me. And you have a concert tomorrow, so I can ‘t join”
Liam: “I lied. There is no concert. Please Charlie. Can you come back? You are the driveshaft in Driveshaft. I mean, You are Driveshaft!”
Charlie ser opp igjen og sier.
Charlie: ”Ok, I will come back”
Locke og Eko følger fortsatt etter sporene til Charlie og plutselig ser noe røyk.
Locke: ”NO! Not ”The Others”!”
Locke og Eko løper og løper og til slutt kommer de til beechcraften som star i flammer. Så ser de Charlie med en fakkel i hånden og ser tilbake til Locke. Locke smiler tilbake til Charlie, mens Eko stirrer på flyet som for ham ser merkverdig kjent ut.

Trivia og annet:
- Tobechukwu betyr “Praise God”
- Jeg VET at Charlie spiller bass i Driveshaft, men jeg ville gjøre om litt. Jeg tok mest frem om starten av bandet. Det forandrer etterhvert.
- Grunnen til at Driveshafts første egenlagde låt het "Worst day" siden bandet vårts første låt heter også "Worst day".
