Episode 3.21 "Greatest Hits"
(Air Date: 16th May 2007)
Centric: Charlie

04/30 - Guest starring are Tania Raymonde as Alex, Blake Bashoff as Karl, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Mira Furlan as Rousseau, Brian Goodman as Pryce, Marsha Thomason as Naomi, Neil Hopkins as Liam, Joshua Hancock as Roderick, John Henry Canavan as Simon Pace, Jeremy Shada as young Charlie, Zack Shada as young Liam, L. Scott Caldwell as Rose, Sam Anderson as Bernard, Andrea Gabriel as Nadia, Lana Parrilla as Greta and Tracy Middendorf as Bonnie. Source: ABC

04/23 - [They are filming in a] rainy alley way....Charlie is wearing the same black leather jacket and carrying his guitar just like the flashbackscene he had with Desmond so this is a continuation of that same day Desmond met Charlie singing on the sidewalk. A lady is being mugged in the alley way... It's Naomi. He saves her from the mugger with the knife. Hmmm, so I would assume that Naomi knows Desmond because at this scene, it puts them all in the same general area on the same day. They are also setting up now at the same corner where Desmond and Charlie came upon each other in London, only they have a big "green screen", and they haven't decorated anything else, so I'm assuming they'll be bringing down the rainmaking stuff and Desmond may show up with Charlie and/or Naomi to tie it all together and they will just green screen the rest later in the background. 04/23 - While Jack devises a plan to do away with The Others once and for all, Sayid uncovers a flaw in The Others system that could lead to everyone's rescue. But it requires Charlie to take on a dangerous task that may make Desmond's premonition come true. Source: ABC

04/03 - As for the fate of Charlie, in episode 21, his next flashback, looks like there are two females characters playing cops (or something similar), one of whom is "about nailing the perp to the wall, no matter how you do it..." There's also a blue-collar family—a father and two sons—all with Mancunian accents. (Residents of Manchester, England, are called Mancunians.) All three members of the family are "required to swim in a pool," which makes me worry a little bit about drowning. Source: Kristin on E!Online

03/19 - [I'm hearing that Charlie will die.] Source: Kristin on E!Online

03/01 - Life & Style magazine is reporting that Dominic Monaghan has been told he won't be back for next season. Source: Kristin on E!Online [Note: Evangeline Lily claims that Dominic doesn't know if Charlie will die or not. There have been no confirmation from cast and crew that Charlie will indeed die.]

02/28 - Producers have chosen to keep secret when Charlie's next flashback will air, which probably has something to do with Desmond's premonition in the Feb. 14 episode that Charlie is destined to die. (Characters' deaths traditionally have occurred at the conclusion of their flashback shows.) "I have to be careful to not tell you too much," says [Dominic] Monaghan, hinting only that "the Charlie stories are going to be coming toward a bottleneck. The Hurley, Sayid, Claire and Locke stories are all pushing together into a Charlie journey." And if Charlie does in fact die? "That's fine," he says with a shrug. "This job is going to end for everyone. I've achieved everything that I wanted to do. It's been a fantastic opportunity for me, and it's done exactly what I wanted it to do: distance me from playing a hobbit (in The Lord of the Rings) and have people in America know I can act." Source: USA Today

To keep fans in suspense, this episode which was originally episode 16, but was postponed. Domonic Monaghan stated in an interview with Media Guardian, that his flashback episode would be one of the last in the season, however, not the finale but that his character would play an important role in the finale without him physically being there.

An actress playing a young nurse from Manchester who's also Charlie's school friend will appear in this episode. We apparently will also find out about Charlie's dad in more depth.

On UK Show "Richard and Judy", in an interview with Carlton Cuse, writer and executive producer of Lost via satellite, he confirmed that the Charlie problem would be resolved in episode 16 which then he later confirmed the title as "The Truth About Lying".

To quote " That's the truth about lying Charlie, you'll always get found out. But if you don't, then you have to live with that." This could possibly be said by Claire, Desmond or Locke.

Three Minutes' "They are not who they say they are... they're pretending". aka" Don't believe anything they say".

Teori 1:

Some of the characters, if rumors are true, will make their way from this (episode 20) episode into the May 23th two-hour finale to continue their trek through time. That episode will likely be Ben centric and is rumored to give us an insight into the island that will have fans talking all summer long. Dharma will, again, factor heavily into the episode and the fabled ‘incident’ as well as the ‘purge’, (one in the same?), will be touched upon.

Just when you think you knew it all about Dharma, prepare for an information overload in episode 20, which will be airing May 9th. The so far untitled episode will go way back to the 70’s and will, if rumors are true, explain a lot about the first interaction between the Dharma folks and the indigenous island people who we have come to know as ‘The Others’. Amongst the characters will be a younger Dr. Marvin Candle, the mysterious DeGroots, and a staunch by-the-numbers Hanso representative who may have a secret agenda. There is no information as to whether the entire episode takes place in the past, or, if it doesn’t, how it will interface with the present events on the island.
