Spørsmål stilt av lost-norge til serieskaperne
Javier Grillo-Marxuach. Writer, Supervising Producer

Hello Mr. Javier Grillo-Marxuach (aka.Throatwarbler Mangrove)
I have a couple of questions for you.
Why were there three writers on episode 22?
In previous episodes there have been at most two writers.
Was this episode more complex than the others, or were you fighting over it and had to share.
As for the “Throatwarbler Mangrove” name…I found this article where you were asked to pronounce your name,
and instead gave that one. I have no idea what that means (the ignorant fool I am), would you care to explain it to me…?
The article:Here
…Also, have a look at my unofficial Norwegian lost fan page, and let me hear what you think. Lost-norge
hi acez -
there are three writers on episode 22 because eddy kitsis and adam horowitz are a writing team - they count as one writing entity: and although the episode was complex, we didn't fight about it onr anything like that. a lot of the time we co-write episodes (as was the case with "in translation" and "hearts and minds." lost is a tremendously collaborative environment.
"throatwarbler mangrove" is a joke from an episode of monty python's flying circus, a man was being interviewed on a talk show and was introduced as "raymond luxury yacht" - the interviewee then shouts, "no, it's spelled 'raymond luxury yacht' but it's pronounced 'throatwarbler mangrove.'"
it's a deep, deep inside joke!
thanks for the questions!

Thank you for answering.
I was actually watching Monty Pythons flying circus on Norwegian television while reading your answer.
Not that exact joke, but the "I'm a lumberjack, and I'm OK" sketch. Its hilarious... Anyway, just thought that was a strange coincidence.
thanks again.

Terry O'Quinn (John Locke)-(He posts as oquinn)
Hello Mr. O'Quinn
I just wanted to show my appreciation for your brilliant actor skills as Locke in lost. I feel you really captured that character in a way that no one else could.
I was wondering, do you receive a lot of fan mail (snail mail) while on location? I was thinking of mailing a picture to the address given on ABC, and see if it came back signed by any of the actors (preferably you). I read somewhere on ABC that if you included an envelope with your picture, that would increase the chances of getting it back. I guess my question is, if I send it do you think you will receive it...?
Below is the address that was given through the ABC site...
Lost
Touchstone Television

Burbank, CA 91521
If you have any other address you could be reached on, please send it to: jon.kjetil@gmail.com
...or post it here if possible...
That seems like a good adress to me. I usually get s bunch of mail every week or so.
Thanks
